Accu-Chek Performa Strips
Performance you can rely on
 |
- Fast test time
5 seconds testing time makes the Accu-Chek Performa system one of the fastest on the market
- Small blood sample
Require only a tiny 0.6µL sample
- 6 gold electrodes
Gold electrodes work with the Accu-Chek Performa system technology and code key to perform extensive quality checks
to ensure accurate result
- Redosing capability
The system indicates if more sample is needed and permits redosing within 5 seconds
- Large easy-to-handle, 'touchable' design
Test strips are sturdy and well constructed to help reduce strip waste and minimise the need to retest
- Fast capillary fill
The strip uses a super-fast-fill capillary window, making testing more convenient for the user
- Large dosing area
The strip's wide mouth allows easier application of the blood sample
- Contrast dosing
The yellow window is in contrast to the grey tip of the test strip, making it easy to see the dosing area
- AST capability
In addition to fingertip and palm testing, the user can test from the forearm, upper arm, thigh or calf
Calibration of the Accu-Chek Performa strip
Recent recommendations by the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) have been adapted in Accu-Chek Performa test strips. These recommendations require blood glucose meters to report results that are as close as possible to the results produced by the laboratory (plasma calibrated results). Laboratory results are always higher than the finger-prick blood glucose results by around 10-15% .
When you do a finger-prick (capillary whole blood), the Accu-Chek Performa is intelligent enough to convert the result so that they are comparable to the laboratory values. Therefore, you should expect higher results with the Accu-Chek Performa if you switch over from using another blood glucose meter that has been calibrated to whole-blood.
